Monday

So Savannah came over this morning and I made her lunch. It was very sophisticated. (I made her pasta and cheese from a box!). I also did a little chicken quesadilla with the leftover chicken from last night. Today we went and looked at some apartments, but nothing that really made us want to sign a lease! Also we are being a litte picky on apartments. You see not all of them have parking options. WE are trying to find one that will allow off street parking. (This is very important because when the city institutes a parking BAN on the streets, you have to park in the city parking lot a few miles away and then trek to your house.....this does not sound like fun in freezing cold snowy weather). So we are trying to look for certain apartments that offers off-street parking. After that we drove to Sharon, Vermont. For those of you who don't know this is where the Prophet Joseph Smith was born. It is only about an hour and a half away from Burlington. Yes mother, we took lots of pictures don't worry. So that took all afternoon. We did the guided tour from the senior missionary elder and it was very interesting. In fact, during the presentation his cell phone went off he apologized and then said let me share a personal story. So he said that him and his wife were in another mission when someone from Church HQ's called his cell phone (which he had in his pocket at the time) and asked a few questions. The senior missionary said he told HQ's that he and his wife were serving a mission currently. The person on the other end said oh and hung up the phone. Then one day as his wife was going to their car, she noticed that the cell phone was ringing again. This time it was Elder Quetin Cook and he said that the First Presidency was releasing them from their current mission and giving them two months to prepare for a new one. So this is how they were called to the Joseph Smith Birthplace Visitor Center. He said not to answer any type of cell phone call!! It was really neat. We took so many pictures. It will take me a while to upload and get them posted. So just wait a couple of days. The history behind the town, the Prophet's family and other events that have transpired is utterly amazing. We had packed a lunch/dinner, so after the tour we ate that and then drove back home. The weather is getting really cold and just wonderful. Savannah and I both had our jackets on! Nothing else to say other than hope all is going well at home and that we send our love! Savannah heads back tomorrow morning (which we both are not quite sure about) but we only have a little less than 2 and a half months. We think we can make it!
