So it is definitely snowing and cold. I had my classes, just have to get through this semester and then I get to come home! Yeah! I have a few papers to write up and that is going to take some time. We had a Japanese Police Superintendent come and speak to us (the DFA) tonight. He shared his thoughts on how the Japanese Police Force works and how it is comparable to the United States. It was very interesting. He told us how the training is different for the police officers and how other procedures differ as well. He also gave us some details on the DNA database that he helped to configure back in Japan. He works for the National Police Agency of Japan. He is staying in the United States for a few months on a State Department Exchange Program. I can't think of much else exciting that is going on or to report about. Just trying to stay warm. Good thing I have a portable heater in my room! Our apartment is very cold sometimes. I think I'm either getting used to it or losing sensation.....It's too bad that no one wants to visit in the winter time, sure is pretty. Maybe someone will share something from back home....(maybe mom will update her blog.....).....love to all!
