More Blogging Fun!

This is Savannah, just so you all know. First, let me start out by saying Aaron did not do our furniture hauling yesterday justice. I saw the fed-ex guy pull up, and was waiting and waiting for him to knock on the door. Well, he didn't, so I went downstairs to the front, thinking it would be there. Nothing. I was confused, so I told Aaron I thought the guy had come, but it wasn't here. I went down the back way, and there it was, all 104 lbs of it, crammed in this box like 4 feet tall, 4 feet wide, like a foot thick, and was wrapped in probably a case of saran wrap. We were thinking, "oh, 104 lbs, with two of us going up stairs won't be too bad"....yeah right!!! You should have seen it! Aaron was like "ok, you grab that end, and I'll pick it up from the top". So I grabbed it from my end, and was like "ready?" Aaron said he was ready, so I "picked it up"...in other words, I pulled on it and it didn't move. So, Aaron looked at me and was like "are you ready?" and I had to tell him that I already picked it up. So he tried to do it by himself, and was tugging and tugging from the top, and it wasn't moving an inch! So, we tried a different angle, and managed to get it up like 3 stairs....quite the progress after 5 minutes! We finally ended up with Aaron at the front, tugging, and me at the back, with the box nestled in my shoulder, and me pushing like a linebacker on a football team! But the dumb thing is, on one side of the stairwell there isn't a railing, it just drops off.....Aaron kept angling it toward that side, so I'd be pushing, and it would be teetering on the edge, so we had to pull it over, and start all over. We finally made it, and by the end were both all sweaty and hot, in our 18 degree weather. We still had a dresser in the back of the car to bring up, and that weighed 94 lbs, but was so much less awkward that we got it up with no problem. The neighbors from upstairs were following us up the stairs though, and the guy was like "if you ever need any help, just come knock on our door"....what I want to know is, how come he couldn't have been here 10 minutes before for the table! Haha! Ok, that was monday.
