Okay, Okay.....here it is!

Drum roll please........

After much deliberation, we finally decided who gets to update the blog....the happy position fell on me, Savannah! Now, I know, we've been slacking on the blogging (ok, that might be a small understatement) but give us a little slack! So, since we haven't blogged in a while, I am going to break this up a little portion at a time, and then at the end we have pics of the apartment in the progression stage. It still isn't finished, because the famous armoire that we got that was supposed to hold all the clothes and be this huge monstrous piece of furniture? Well....Thanks to Target.com and their dumb enhanced photography, it got here and isn't even deep enough to put a hanger in, and it's maybe 4 feet tall. Now, granted, I should have looked at the specs before buying it, but to defend myself here, people out west believe in this wonderful invention called closets! I've never had to actually fold my clothes (stop laughing Dena, I know you are!) because I've always had a closet to hang them in! Not that I always did hang them, but at least the opportunity was there!!! Ok, here goes nothin....

December 29 - January 3

As everyone knows, we got married on December 29, in the Las Vegas temple. It was absolutely beautiful! I'm sure everyone was worried in the sealing room because Aaron and I weren't holding hands, but rest assured, we do actually love each other! In fact I did that on purpose, just to cause a stir....I guess it worked! After the temple we did some family photos, which turned out just adorable! These can be viewed on the website http://www.stilllifestudios.com/ , then click the "wedding" link, then at the bottom it has and "event login" button. Click that, and then find me and aaron, and the passcode is "weech". If you haven't already looked at it, you'll be able to see all the behind the scenes footage of me and aaron getting ready and everything! anyways.....

After the wedding and the photos, we went down the street to my cousin's ward building, and had a nice relaxing luncheon. Again, we heard rumors that Aaron and I don't really love each other, because there was only 1 picture taken of us together at the luncheon, but there was so much socializing to do! After the luncheon was done, me and aaron escaped in my beautifully decorated car to Summerlin, near Las Vegas. He took me to a beautiful hotel that has already been blogged about, so I'll just summarize. We got there, had someone bring our bags up, then we drove down the street to a car wash, where the people there were not too happy with us! After the car wash, Aaron and I went back to the hotel spa, and each had a massage...mmm....it was so nice! We went back up to the room and the staff had sent chocolate covered strawberries and wine, which we exchanged for sparkling apple cider! After such a long day, and being so relaxed from the massage, we just ordered room service and promptly fell asleep!

The next morning we left the hotel and traveled to Flagstaff, where we stayed at the Little America hotel. It was very nice also, and since Aaron opened his mouth at check in, the hotel staff there also sent up a bottle of sparkling apple cider! We ordered room service again, and just hung out that night.

December 21, 2007

That brings us to new years eve....which isn't very celebrated in Flagstaff! We hung out that day, drove around a bit and looked at the sights, and then drove out to Mormon Lake, and had dinner there at the lodge. MMM! It was sooooo good!!! We headed back to Flag after a couple of hours there, and barely managed to stay awake until midnight. It was 12:01, we said happy new year, and turned out the lights!

Jan 1, 2008

We got up early (it was like 7 am...I thought I was supposed to be on vacation!) and headed back to the lodge at Mormon Lake for a bit of snowmobiling fun. It was the first time that Aaron and I had been, and I had a BLAST!!!!! I got a little chilly, but I was wearing 2 pairs of socks, 2 pairs of pants, 3 sweaters, and a windbreaker, plus gloves and a beany, so it wasn't bad! We snowmobiled for about 2ish hours, and then went back to the lodge for a brunch. It wasn't too shabby, so we stayed for a while and warmed up by the fire! I wasn't feeling too well, apparently I got a little colder than I thought I did, so we headed back to Flag for a nice long nap. We walked across the street and got dinner at the gas station there ( I know, how romantic!!!) where Aaron got a bean burrito, and I got some gatorade and a bottle of apple sauce. Don't ask me, it was what I was craving! We went back to the hotel, ordered the movie Sydney White (a chick flick, but Aaron liked it!) and hung out. Then we decided we didn't want to do anything, so we ordered another movie, No Reservations, and then just chilled after that. Are we seeing a trend here? It wasn't an extravogent honeymoon, but we enjoyed just relaxing and spending time with each other, after nothing for almost 4 months!

January 3, 2008

We got up, had brunch at the hotel, and they had the funkiest music ever! It was like someone was on crack and had like 10 synthesizers going at the same time! One of the staff saw me making fun of it, so they tried to change it, but the channel that they changed it to was just as bad, it just had more flute music! We packed our things and headed back to the valley of the sun. We got to the house around 5ish, and had dinner with the family, and started laundry. Dena and the girls had cleaned up our room, which was a huge blessing, because I had packed in such a rush for christmas and the wedding, that half my wardrobe was on my bed, and half was on the floor! Dena, bless her, had done some of my laundry, and had packed a couple boxes and suitcases of my clothes and had them all ready for us to ship. Yay, what a relief!
Pictures.....
The first picture is the view outside our window in Flagstaff. The second one is of me on new years eve, at the lodge for dinner. The third one is of Aaron, when we went snowmobiling, and the last one is of me making the bed at the hotel.

That's the end of this entry, I'll add more on the next one!
