So this morning we got up, and headed out the door for school and work. Now, it rained all last night, and when we went to school, it was 47 degrees. At 7:30 in the morning! It hasn't been that warm the whole time we've been here! So put on our waterproof boots and rain jackets, and went outside....to a river running down the sidewalk. I'm not kidding, there was a river of water from all the melting ice and snow. I'm like a little kid, so I was all excited and starting jumping in puddles and things like that. I stood on the sidewalk in one area, and the water went up to my ankles. I started walking, and apparently there was ice underneath the water....anyways, I totally slipped and landed on all 4's. My boots got all soaking wet, and so did my pants, all the way up to my knees, and then some! My shirt sleeves got wet too, almost up to my elbows. But we had to be on campus by 8, so there wasn't time for me to go back and change, so I just got up and started going again. About 5 feet later, a big old vehicle (I can't remember what it was) decided to drive by, and hit the biggest puddle on the street, and splash me! It was classic! Anyways, that's my monday morning blues story, and just so you all know, I was only 4 minutes late to work. Not bad considering such early morning trauma! OH! When I got to work I took my boots off to dry. Everyone here walks around in socks anyways, so I figured it wouldn't be too bad. Anyways, I took them off and turned them upside down and water poured out!!! It was pretty funny, except now I'm getting cold, because my socks and pants and shirt are wet, and the heat isn't on in my office. BRRRR!!!
