Snow!

There is just something about snow that makes me excited (except when I am driving!). Anyways, yesterday in the early afternoon it starts snowing and snowing and snowing and snowing....mind you Savannah was getting off work at 6pm....(did I mention I hate driving in the snow!!!)....I did end up picking her up from work and then we decided to have a date night. We ate dinner thanks to Domino's Pizza and then we went out and played in the snow. Here are some pictures that we took. This was about 9 at night. Some of streets had been plowed and here is a picture of me stepping into the snow bank.

Doesn't Savannah look soooo happy??? The snow was so cold and stinging our faces at this point. We (yeah..."we") made a decision that maybe we should go home to thaw out because it was so cold outside.

The happy snow covered couple have finally made it home! What a fun date night we had (much better than hanging out in a warm house or even the laundromat...). Savannah took a few more fun pictures that she will have to post herself....(there is obviously a story to go with those pictures....)

This morning, I woke up all bright and happy because remember I get so excited over the snow and walk to the back porch and look out the window - hmmm....where is the car? Maybe honey we shouldn't have gotten a white colored car.

I really like shoveling snow. While it is not so much fun, I do enjoy it. It is so calming and I really do like shoveling! The only thing I don't like about shoveling is that I do such a dang good job that when we leave the neighbors take our spot! Well, this morning it only took me an hour to shovel the car and the driveway to get out. Then we finished mailing our Christmas presents out (hopefully they get to everyone by Christmas!) and I dropped Savannah off at Costco. She gave me a "honey do" list. I really hate those lists especially while it is snowing. For example, this afternoon it took me 30 minutes to drive two miles to get to the store and then once I found a parking spot and got inside the store, do you think that they had what I needed???? Oh no....they ran out said the clerk....how do you run out??? I was very irritated....so I left and went back home....not to my surprise, but yep, some nice neighbor had taken my shoveled spot. So I got the shovel out again and shoveled another spot for me. Wait a minute....don't we pay for snow removal??? Yes.....but who knows when they show up.....oh today about 30 minutes AFTER I had shoveled the second spot of snow. So I went down and asked if I could move my car so they could get all the snow I had missed. The nice fellow said yes and I was happy. It is only supposed to snow another 12 inches tonight and more this week until after Christmas! All I can say is We are definitely going to have a White Christmas!!
