So the latest saga....I sent in a very nice letter to the Maricopa County Jury Office and also included a letter from my Dean stating that I was a student in college in Vermont and couldn't serve on the jury in a couple of weeks. Then I got a notice that I was excused for 18 months....okay that is great! Then today I get a telephone call from my mom who said that we (meaning Savannah and I) got something in the mail. She says...you will never believe what came in the mail today....I paused and then said you got called to jury service?? She said no....but Savannah did! So now I get to come up with a reason she should be excused......what should I say?? Maybe that we will be traveling across the country going to Utah? Geezz....someone must really want us to be in Arizona. How strange can that be that two people who are related get noticed within two weeks of each other?
