When we passed into Iowa, we looked for landmarks that might fun to visit. One of them was a Mormon historic landmark. After we went and looked at it, we turned onto this road....hmmm..I wonder if the blvd was actually part of the trail.
This is me and my nephew Zach eating lunch at his school. I was very excited to eat a "school" lunch and even more excited to share it with Zach. We stayed in West Des Moines for a night to catch up on our sleep and relax for a day. It was lots of fun.
The next two pictures are at Fort Kearny. We stopped here to take a quick peek. Savannah is actually standing on top of one of the four guard posts.
And this is the rest of Nebraska....you can send me thank-you cards later for taking you through Nebraska because it is mostly flat and boring.
