Sunday

We had our primary program today. I had practiced and practiced my part, but ended up changing a word....oh well. It still had the same meaning. Bob didn't come to church today. He had his older brother's funeral. His brother died from bone cancer. Then in my teaching hour, I had a member of the primary presidency observe me. I tried to go over the lesson from last week, but no one seemed to remember....oh great....I have decided I need more visual aids or handouts...Champlain Library here I come! Good thing it is free to print!!! Then for the last hour, the primary watched a movie and had treats for the kids for singing for well. After church, I had my interview with the Bishop for my live recommend. He asked me if anything had changed since my last temple recommend interview and I said no. He said that is good for me. Then we chatted for a bit and I left. I also had my home teachers give me a lesson at the church. I didn't want them to come over to the apartment as it is not the best environment. Then I stopped by Bob's house and talked with him. He had just gotten back from the funeral and was in need of comforting. I asked if he had eaten anything and he told me no. I said that I had dinner at my house for him, but didn't know if he wanted it now or later. He said now and so I went home to get it. I had rice, chicken, and applesauce all ready to go. Then when I got back he wanted me to make mashed potatoes as well. So I skinned some potatoes and boiled them. I started to cook the rice and chicken as well. It was a very scrumptious dinner! The only thing I didn't have was sour creme for the mashed potatoes, but ranch dressing worked just as well! Then we sat and talked about death, read some scriptures, and talked some more. He wanted to ride with me to my interview with the Stake President for my recommend, so I said sure and we drove to Essex to the Stake Center. After getting the RIGHT directions, we made it with two minutes to spare. My interview didn't take to long so then we drove back to Bob's house and talked some more about death and what happens to people. It was a very nice conversation. Afterwards we took a drive around town to look at Christmas lights. The town is not very lit up at all. The main street is, but other than that, everything is dark! We did find some good houses, but nothing like back home! Then we had hot cocoa back at his house and finally I went home. It has been a very long day. So I created a flickr website as well. Check out the link down below on the left hand side under the links section. I will be posting more photos there probably than on here. It's easier to manipulate and change. Hope everyone is doing well. Love to all!!!
