Week of 2/10

Sunday Feb 10
This is the day that we had to, I mean, got to talk in church! It was pretty fun, we had the topic of tithing, except the youth speaker got up and talked about the word of wisdom, so we had a moment of stress thinking we had prepared the wrong topics! I got to talk about me for a few minutes, so that took up part of the time, and then I think I did a semi-decent job at not talking way to fast during the rest of it....not sure though. Aaron as always gave a great talk. I guess he has the upper hand since he's been on a mission and know's how to yack....and yack...and yack...and...you get the picture! That was pretty much our sunday, aside from the guitar hero...I'm an addict, but I think I already told you all about that.

Aaron has been feeling a little left out, so here is his description of his day, in his own words!

Monday - I went to school and had all my normal classes. I also got to eat lunch with Savannah. This is beginning to be a lot of fun. Then I had my forensics class in the afternoon. We are learning how to use all sorts of new software toys. Watch out now! For our FHE, we did a service project and delivered dinner to a family. We both had lots of fun.

Tuesday- Savannah and I walked to school. I had lab duty and then went to class. We held our class in the Skiff Forensic Computer Lab. It was pretty funny because no one could figure out how to log onto network for this class project. But I figured it out by end of class....yeah for me!! Savannah worked the whole day....what fun.

Wednesday - So it snowed a bit this morning....but not enough to cancel class. BUT....the college had accidently posted a "snow alert" so some students thought that classes were cancelled. It was pretty funny and the students are still talking about it. Some are pretty mad because they made trips to go skiing and missed out on classes! Oops!

Thursday - So I had my network class today. The professor announced in class that I had figured out the problem why we couldn't connect in the lab on Tuesday. Of course everyone just sighed and looked at me. Also today is Savannah's stay at home day. This is the day that she lounges around the house (well actually she cleans and cleans and cleans). I got an email late at night inviting me to do a "mock crime scene" for tomorrow, I emailed back and said I could do it if the director of the program excused me from lab duty. Well the director excused me and I got to participate in a mock crime scene. I also finished a 10 page paper that was due in one of my classes!

Friday - I went to the mock crime scene to collect digital evidence this morning. I was only supposed to be a "consultant" but ended up doing interviews, collecting blood samples, and providing additional assistance. There are three different program majors (Digital Forensics, Criminal Justice, and the Paralegal program) who are working on this mock crime scene, we go to court in April. Until then we have lots to accomplish with collecting more evidence and providing the detectives our summary reports. Also the sun came out to play for the first time today!! Then this evening, we went to an investigator's house with the missionaries.

Saturday - Ah....the weekend! Savannah went through the paperwork in the house (how did we accumulate so much??), I of course did more homework for midterms this next week, then we went out to dinner, I did more homework, and Savannah made cheesecake for the potluck tomorrow. I will be glad once I have all my work done! It has been many late nights this last week!

Sunday - Savannah taught class today.....wait....during class Savannah disappeared.....so I got to teach....we played hangman and learned about families. Then we had the ward potluck to which we brought cheesecake. The chocolate one that Savannah made was gone in 2 seconds!
