Tuesday night after windsurfing there was the gala dinner for the conference that Brad and Aaron were going to. It was great fun! It was a 4 or something course meal, and there was entertainment too. It was a "Whisky a go-go" theme, so there were go-go dancers and guys doing acrobats everywhere. Then they brough out the singers, who rocked at 60's music! All the chart toppers of the late 60's were sung, and there were dancers, people swinging from the ceiling, and a slinky girl!
The dancers and singers were all really good!
This lady was crazy talented!
This was the slinky girl. Her arms and legs fit in the holes of the fabric, it was so cool!
There were the Beatles there of course. Aaron tried to get a pic with me, but they shoved him away and said "just the ladies". It was pretty funny!
They opened up the dance floor for the guests, and I'm such a sucker for music! Aaron absolutely hates dancing, but I gave him my puppy dog eyes and since he loves me so much, he went out on the dance floor with me! We talked Brad and Dena into coming out and dancing, and it was a great time! We danced for probably 2 hours, and I did not want to leave! We went up to Brad and Dena's room and told Jacque and Aly that "your dad just did the cha-cha slide", and they flipped! It would have been fun for them to be there, but we didn't know there was going to be dancing.
Wednesday was just a chill, hang out, do whatever we want day. It was so nice just to relax, stare out at the ocean listening to the waves crash in...mmm..I want to go back! Aaron and I went to a Cuban restaurant for dinner, and it was actually pretty good!
Afterwards, the rest of the family was hungry but didn't want to leave the room, so we drove around (I knew where to go from my trip to the laundromat earlier) and found a chicken place, where we got dinner for the family. They liked it!
I'm probably going to get in trouble for posting this one, but oh well!
