Florida!

So we made it through the flights and got to Florida around 12:30 am. We got to the Embassy Suites where we were staying that night, and promptly crashed! I couldn't remember what time we had scheduled the car for on Sunday, so we woke up around 8, went downstairs and had breakfast, and I called the car company and rescheduled for 1 pm. We went back to the room and fell asleep until noon! It was great! We picked up the car, and after getting on the wrong freeway, and paying 3 different tolls in a matter of 5 minutes, were on our way to Hollywood! It's right on the beach between Ft. Lauderdale and Miami. It was GORGEOUS!!!! This is our room..

When we walked in, this was the room. It was really pretty, and the beds were heavenly!

Straight ocean, everywhere you looked! We had a nice sized balcony with a little patio set, and a gorgeous view!

It was FABULOUS!!! I couldn't tell that it was humid, but apparently it was. When we would open the doors to the balcony the mirrors would fog over!! Monday Aaron had classes all day, so me, Aly, Jacque and Dena went downstairs and played in the pools and in the ocean. It was so fun! I didn't want to get out, but was getting hungry. It was a good thing we went back to the room too, because I was FRIED!!! We were only out for about 2 hours, and in that time I morphed into a lobster. Think of my sunburn from utah, times it at least by 2 (no kidding) and put it all over my body. My legs even got burned. I didn't think it was possible, but now I know that it is! Apparently you get burned faster the closer you are to the equator. Dumb! Anyways, we got dressed and went to a mall. It was huge! Really nice too! It was definately the biggest mall that I've ever been to! We shopped for a few hours and went to pick our boys up (Aaron and Brad) and then went to dinner at Outback. Poor Aaron had to take me home early though, because I was getting sick. Apparently I got heat stroke from the sunburn, and was very miserable! I couldn't even hold my water, I was shaking so bad! So we went back to the room, I managed to slurp down 2 bottles of water, took some tylenol, slathered in aloe, and crashed around 9:30. I didn't wake up until around 10 the next morning, but was feeling a lot better when I did wake up! Us girls went windsurfing in Miami, and had a fabulous time! I don't have a pic of my windsurfing yet, as I was in the water...when I get one I'll definately post it!




Jacque and Aly both hopped on the board and did great, I had a little trouble the first time or ten though. I don't really like fish, I hate the taste of saltwater, and I don't like seaweed either. Well, there was seaweed floating in the water, and the first time I got on the board I totall fell off the other side. Well, there goes my first 2 dislikes! I hung out in the water getting used to the waves ( I have TERRIBLE balance!) but then I looked down in the water and saw a school of fish swimming around me, and freaked out! I jumped on the board and didn't really fall off again! I guess I just needed a little extra motivation! It was a really nice day, but I wore shorts and a shirt over my swimsuit to protect my sunburn. It didn't feel so bad when I was in the water! We stayed in the water until we saw some jellyfish floating around, and decided to call it quits. Dena took us back to the hotel, we got changed, and then she went shopping with me while the girls went back down to the ocean. I got some cute things!
