Aaron had his first day of school today. He looked all sorts of handsome and was very excited to go! He has the cushiest schedule this semester! Class every day of the week, but they start at 12:30 in the afternoon and Monday, Thursday and Friday he only has one. This semester he's studying how to write search warrents, statistics (bleh) investigative interviewing (aka spying....his first homework assignment? Eavesdropping on some poor persons conversation and writing a review) cyber crime (I'm glad it's him taking this one and not me) and a boring 'ol networking class. What a rough life!!!
Earlier in the morning we had a very scary visitor. Remember I told you about the stupid bugs here? Well this one was HUGE!! The pics don't really do it justice, but it was a giant black wasp on our back porch. It got stuck in there somehow and kept hitting the window. Aaron was going to take the trash out and opened the door, and it made a beeline for his head! Scary! It was like 2 inches long and crazy! We got our trusty spider killer, but every time we turned the knob the wasp would fly over to the door. Grr. So we just locked it up tight and Aaron took the trash out the front door!
I called the management company to tell them about all the creepy orange and black striped spiders we have here (I'm pretty sure they aren't the friendly kind) and about the wasp ( I saw a nest outside on the back porch area) and asked if they could send a bug man out to spray. She said they would have someone out for the wasps, but then she said, and I quote, "about the other one though" at which point I said "the spiders?" and she said "yes, the spiders. I'm going to need you to catch one in a baggy and bring it in so the exterminator knows what to spray for". I started laughing and said (and I qoute) "lady, you're trippin if you think I'm going to catch a spider in a baggy! Don't they have some sort of kills everything bug spray or something?!" I mean seriously here! Anyone who knows me knows that I HATE spiders and this lady wants me to catch one in a baggy? HECK NO!!!!! She laughed when I told her she was trippin, and we haven't seen a bug man yet so I guess I'll just have to continue carrying around my can of spider killer with me whenever I leave the house!

As for the bugs sorry about that one. Really! Your supposed to actually catch one. Gross! When I was in college and lived in a lovely trailer a scorpion got caught between the screen and the window and kept trying to sting the screen while I was taking a shower. Scared the pudding outta me
