Hello everyone! I dont have anything fun and exciting to report, unfortunately. Just a few random pics of the week. Sunday we went over to some friends house after conference and had dinner and played a rousing game of "religious scrabble". Basically we made up words and if it was found anywhere in the Bible or Book of Mormon, it counted. It was actually pretty hard! Anyways, since they provided dinner, I was supposed to bring dessert. We had decided to take my favorite ice cream, Creme Brulee, but I got a little wrapped up in card games and the Wii on Saturday night while Aaron was at the Priesthood session....so I decided to just make a cake since I had all the stuff. I've been feeling very domestic lately though, and decided to make the frosting from scratch. It turned out really yummy! Then I decided to color it...then I decided to make more frosting a different color and decorate the cake. This is what it turned out like...
I think it looks cute! I might be biased though. Anyways, the whole time I was frosting it during the 2nd half of Conference I kept thinking "my 4-H teacher would be so proud!" We like to have french toast on Friday's, since they both start with "F". We call it "French Toast Fridays"...how original, I know! Anyways, I made the bread last night so we had a loaf of fresh bread to make it with...good thing I had a whole loaf! I put it in the pan and then went in the other room. Bad idea....all of the sudden Aaron's like "Something's burning!!!" So I run in the kitchen and smoke is literally billowing from the french toast...I seriously think it might have started flaming soon! I grabbed the pan and ran out to the porch so the smoke detector wouldn't go off, and it took like 5 minutes for the pan to stop smoking. I poured water in it, and officially ruined the bread!

This week was kind of exciting for Aaron though, he got to do his first "live imaging"...whatever that means! I guess there is a business in town that blew up their accounting software/server/hard drive/whatever the heck it is, and they called the college for help. We're pretty good friends with the director of the program (I'm kind of excited, they invited us over to their house, but they live in NY, so we get to take the ferry across the lake!) and he told the business that he was bringing his "expert student"....Aaron's brown nosing has done it again! I'm not sure of the rest of the details...I just know that when Aaron was walking me home from work last night (he's so sweet) he told me that "it's not a good idea to destroy your professors hard drive"....He's not even sure what he did, but I guess all of the sudden all of the files from the Directors hard drive mysteriously dissapeared....so now he has to stay after class and try to find them!!! Doesn't he look handsome though?!

I bought a watermelon at the Farmer's Market last week, and decided to cut it up the other day, since watermelon is my favorite fruit.

I looked at it after I cut it in half, and saw this...

What the heck?! I was so confused!!! It smelled like watermelon, felt like watermelon, and finally I tasted it. It tasted like watermelon!!! Why the heck is it yellow then?! Then I remembered something....the sign said "yellow watermelon"....that's probably why it's yellow!!! I didn't know there was such a thinkg...but it's pretty tasty! It's actually a bit saltier than watermelon. It reminded me of my grandpa, because he used to put salt and pepper on his canteloupe and watermelon. Sorry for the randomness!

That is one freaky watermelon...Weird..It reminds me of something my neighbor shared with me: A cucumber that had crossbred with a lemon. So weird. I didn't even know that was possible!
