What a Week!

Wow...it seems like a long time since we have had any posts on our blog. This last week was quite exciting. Savannah started her new temp job and I had another week of classes. Let's talk about my classes....I have White Collar Crime (WCC), Art History, Financial Accounting, Network Security, and MASH (Modern American Social History). My network security class is not too bad, the professor is not like any others I have had and is quite interesting. I got high marks in my Art History class (which I am taking online) on the postings which we have to do every week. So I feel pretty good so far in that class. My WCC class....well the book was supposed to be in by the start of class (ya know back on 1/12) but it is on backorder and probably will not be in before the first test this next Wednesday. So we have been reading and briefing lots of cases....except for last Wednesday when I decided to not read the case (I have no excuse why not) and was called on in class to brief it. Yeah....that was a mistake....won't be doing that again. Financial accounting has not been too bad....I now understand why computer forensics analysts are needed in financial crimes. Lots of ways to cover the financial reports and make them look good, when the company is actually not doing good at all. My MASH class...I don't know how to explain that other than it is a very LIBERAL Vermont class and poor old little me with my VERY conversative views probably should not be in that class.

For a couple of my class assignments I was supposed to watch the inaugration (which I did) and then do a report (I think?? The assignment hasn't been given out yet). I was asked in my MASH class what I thought about the inaugration and I made the comment on how such a peaceful transition of power took place and that in other countries riots sometimes break out. I guess that wasn't the right comment because she said oh yea and proceeded to ask another student what they thought. I didn't want to say what I really wanted to say because it was only the second class and I don't think they would have liked my comments anyways.

We went over to Brenda's for dinner on Friday (she is a good friend who was investigating the church and that I know from Champlain). Friday night was the day before her baptism in which Savannah gave a talk and I performed the baptism. She was a little nervous the night before but we told her I wouldn't drown her. So on Saturday we had the baptismal service and everything went off perfect. The water in the font was even warm. That was a plus because it was probably 5 degrees outside! After the baptism we all went out for lunch and celebrated not only Brenda's baptism but her birthday as well. Then I had to take Savannah to work and later we went to a wedding reception. After the reception we went to a friend's house and played "speed scrabble". It was a lot of fun, except poor Savannah didn't win at all.

So I am going to try and be better at updating the blog so everyone knows what is going on with out lives and to share our experiences with all. Hope you have a great day!
