I must have this knack for knowing when someone needs help. A couple of months ago right as we were going to bed (and after a big snowstorm) we heard this car that was trying to make it up our driveway-hill. After a few tries, it was no use. I knew that a parking ban had been issued and thought that it was one of our neighbors, so I got up, put back on my snow clothes and went out and shoveled this girl who was in high heels (and probably getting off of work) out of the snow. Well it has been really cold the past few days and this evening I heard a car trying so hard to turn over, but it wasn't working. We were all ready for bed once again. I peeked out the window and saw that it was one of our neighbors trying to start their car. I thought it could be one of the neighbors who recently put a nasty note on our car (Savannah will blog about that!) but kept watching. I finally told Savannah I was going outside to "clean out our car"....in 8 degree weather. I put on my jacket and "pretended" to clean out the car. Just as I was shutting the door to the car, our neighbor (who happened to be the same woman from a couple of months back) asks "Can you help me".....I said sure, what is the problem (secretly I was hoping it was nothing major....). She told me that she just got her car back from someone who had fixed it and it wasn't starting, she said it was making a sick noise...really...you mean that awful noise I could hear from my window (okay I didn't tell her that)....oh it must be the battery I say (I always tell Savannah if it has a battery I can either fix it or break it). I told her to hold on and got my battery starter (thanks Grammy!) and hooked it up. Waalah! After a few seconds the car started and this girl was like wow....I was trying to call people to come help me but nobody could. Why are you always around when I need help? I just said I don't know.....(Savannah thinks we should invite her over to eat with the elders....). After that I said have a great night and went back inside where I defrosted my cold nose!
