My little graduate!

Yay! Finally something worthy of blogging about! I know, I'm late on it, but I've been traveling for a while. In any case, better late than never, right?

May 8th was a great day for our family! Aaron graduated with honors from Champlain College. He now has a Bachelors of Science degree, focusing on Computer and Digital Forensics!

Since Aaron already has a job, we couldn't take a lot of time off for the trip, so we took a red-eye flight on Wednesday night. I don't sleep well when I fly, but I decided to take 2 tylenol pm's for the flight. Well, that was a little bit, no, a lot bit dumb of me! Drugs in general make me tired, and normally 1/2 a tylenol pm will make me sleep for at least 6-7 hours. 2 tylenols? I was out of it the whole trip! I had brought my own pillow, because I figured if I was going to be traveling for 3 weeks I at least wanted something familiar. Anyways, since it was a night flight, all the seats had little pillows and blankets on them, so it was a comfy flight to Detroit. After getting to Detroit and walking across 3 terminals, we get to our gate with an hour+ to spare, so I take the blanket from the flight and fall asleep behind the chairs. Yes, I'm classy! The flight to Burlington was nice and peaceful, nothing too exciting.

Once we got the car and the luggage we headed straight for the hotel. It was only 9:30 am, but they said we could check in early, so we did and promptly fell asleep until 2! Aaron had graduation practice, and after that we headed over to our friends house for dinner, which was tasty as always. Friday we went with my parents to Montpelier to look around, and we met Aaron's parents there.

My mom and I at lunch. And yes, the wrap was really tasty!

Us and my parents at the reception Friday night. I promise, I'm not being partial to my parents, but all the pictures with us and Aaron's parents are on their camera!

Saturday was graduation, and it was cold and rainy. We got seated around 8:40 and it didn't start until 10:00, so we had a lot of time to spare! The ceremony was nice, but I couldn't get a good picture of Aaron actually getting his diploma, because the announcer mispronounced his name and none of us realized it was him until he was almost across the stage!

This is him after he got his diploma and was headed out of the auditorium. Isn't he so cute?
