Christmas

Merry Christmas to all!  Remember a few posts back I mentioned that Savannah was sick?  Well, she is so kind and nice that she shared it with me, so now I am battling it.  I worked from home for most of the week since I was not feeling so hot and now just have a nasty cough.

Christmas Eve - Santa Tracker is operational and working like a charm!

Christmas day was very nice.  I got Savannah a very nice winter jacket plus some odds and ends.  She got me a lego set (or 3) and new books.  Santa gave us the Joseph Smith papers book in a limited edition series!  It was a very good day.  We got a lot of packages from family and friends as you can see!

We went over to some friend's house for an authentic German breakfast.  I wish I would have taken pictures!  The food was amazing.  Then the missionaries (both the elders and sisters) came over to use our computers to skype and talk with their families.  Afterwards, we went to another couple's house and had smoked meatloaf.  We played games for a little bit and headed home.

On Friday, we got up at 5:30 am and took off to Des Moines (see the post about our anniversary...which was in a few days).  We showed up at Savannah's family with a couple boxes of krispy kreme donuts and played all weekend long.  I have decided that shopping after Christmas is better than before.  We scored some awesome deals.  First, I got some snow pants for $20 and then we went to Barnes & Nobles.  Normally, I do not like shopping there since the prices are high.  This trip would prove that wrong!  We got almost a dozen new books and 2 lego sets for a steal!

It was probably the highlight of the trip.  Sadly, the Christmas fun had to end and on Monday, I head back to work.  May everyone remember this Christmas the birth of our Savior and the sacrifice which He gave for us.  Merry Christmas to all!!
