Another visitor!

Remember that software deployment I had to do last week?  It finally went well.  And to top it off, we did it again Wednesday night.  Then on Thursday, Jacque flew into town.  This was a very relaxing trip for everyone. Friday we went to the temple and then traveled to Adam-Ondi-Ahman.  Thanks to Jacque, we found out about an Art festival on the Country Club plaza and went to that later in the evening.  It was amazing to see the talents of all the artists.  The art festival was very packed with people.

On Saturday Jacque and Savannah shopped at one of the bigger malls.  Then for our Sunday trip, we went to Church and visited the Liberty Jail.  For Monday, Savannah booked us all a wonderful massage package.  I have the greatest wife.

Then on Tuesday, we went to the Federal Reserve to see the Money Museum (actually we tried to go on Monday, but for some reason, they require a photo ID and neither Jacque or Savannah had one).  The Money Museum was awesome!  We got to see Huey, Dewey, and Luey (the robots which carried all the money) and also a huge monetary collection from 1789 or so.  We only got to take pictures in certain areas, so this is all you can see!

Then we headed to the World War I monument.  It is the only monument in the world that is only filled with World War I artifacts.  We took about 2 and a half hours to see only 8% of the collection which they had on display.  Even that was not enough time to see it all!  This is from the Liberty Memorial which was built in 1926!

Then we took Jacque to the airport and wished her farewell.

Lots of work for Aaron

Remember that big software initiative I mentioned in my last post?  Well we are continuing with it.  Our team finally got it working and now we get to deploy it in a couple other locations.  Guess that means I will be working late and ordering the food again!

Visitors leave, who's next?

We went to an exhibit that has the only authentic pirate ship wreck that has been recovered.  This exhibit was at Union Station which we really like and finally got year long passes.  Now we can go all the time!  Union Station has lots of cool things to do.  Then we had more good food at one of the restaurants.  My mom left on Tuesday and I worked really late every night.  We had a really big initiative this last weekend which consumed a lot of my time.  We had to be at the office on Saturday night and work all the way into Sunday morning.  Everyone was really hungry that night at my office and we were going to order some food for delivery.  Since I work in an interesting part of town (Savannah says "ghetto"), it is really hard to find a place that delivers.  After calling a few pizza place's, I finally found one that did deliver!  The initiative didn't quite go as planned (but hey, the pizza was good!), so we are gearing up for another late night of work this coming week to try again.  Since I had to work this weekend, Savannah headed to Des Moines to visit her family.  I mean, what kind of fun can you have by yourself at home?
