Every morning it is a ritual for me to read all the news from ALL of the country's news organizations. This morning I am really really irritated! I just learned that the US State Department is removing the words "father" and "mother" from the passport application. Instead they want to make it "parent one" and "parent two". That is absolutely ridiculous! We might as well go by "Thing 1" and "Thing 2" (it's a Dr. Suess analogy). I told Savannah that my next letter is going to be to my state Senator (and everyone else I can find) about this whole absurd change. Next thing we know, people are going to try and change other laws as well just because it doesn't fit with what they "think" should be the norm. I'm going to be very irritated if other things start to change that caters to those who don't want to conform and play nice with others.

It's done. I have sent out my letters to my Senators and House Rep. I am just getting started!
I am glad we can have such great talks with you guys! We miss you again, already and we'll be reminded of it until we eat all the left over dip you left at our house :(
