This week was a lot of fun. Our good friends from Vermont moved into town for a job relocation. I spent a lot of time swimming with the family while Savannah missed out on all the fun because she was working. Good thing she only has a week left! Our friends have 4 boys age 6 and under who think I am their Uncle. Meh...I'll let them think that! They stayed at the hotel where Savannah works and everyday we would go swimming while Savannah looked longingly thru the glass. They came over to our house for dinner and the boys immediately fell in love with my wonderful display of Legos. I mention display because once I put them together, they don't get touched. Needless to say, I caved and we had a jolly time playing with them. I pulled out my police car collection (its like Mary Poppins and stuff just comes out of nowhere) and played with that as well. I think that we will have lots of fun now that they are in town and I can take them to the Legoland discovery center!

Our Latest Adventures
Memorial Day was very nice. I had the day off and Savannah only had to work in the afternoon. We were able to spend all morning together. I made breakfast (which consisted of eggs, bacon, cheese, tortillas, and salsa) and then we headed to the pool and hot tub. Afterwards, we drove around looking at different areas. Don't worry, most of the time, the driver is paying attention to the road! Remember that breakfast I told you about? Well, for the next couple of days both Savannah and I were not feeling so hot. We were trying to figure out why.....I finally thought that maybe...just maybe the eggs were bad. I looked at the expiration date...somehow it had changed. I thought it read May 27 when I used them, but it actually said March 27!
Our wonderful apartment complex has just opened up both the pool and hot tub. Savannah and I have a new hobby of going down to the hot tub whenever we can and relaxing in it. With the weather being so nice, it is great! The pool is still a little too cold, but the temperatures are supposed to rise into the 90's, so here we come!
Everyone who knows my wife will smile at our next place we visited. It was the downtown City Market. We went there on Saturday and really spent all afternoon looking at all the different items that people were selling. We ended up purchasing all of our produce and then as we were leaving, we found a "garage sale" that was taking place in the city park and Savannah ended up purchasing this vase. She thinks it is cute, so that is all that matters, right?
